When I don't pay attention to what is going on in the other room & Norah is so quiet until I call her name, I get a little suspicious.
When I walked into the dining room to see what she was doing I caught her coloring on the floor... I mean the actual floor {thank goodness for Magic Erasers}!!
So, after I provided Norah with a piece of paper to do her coloring on,
I captured a few shots to freeze these moments in time.

I love watching her do her own thing.  She was always the type of baby who could entertain herself.
While I was working from home I never had to worry about her.  She was so self sufficient.
But, since I stopped working she has been attached to my hip.  She has needed a playmate most of the time.
Seeing her relax in her own space where all seems so steady makes my heart smile!
There's just something about these peaceful moments... I cherish them!

We're Moving

It was inevitable...
we knew we were only going to be here in Maryland for 2 years.
We moved here when Norah was two weeks old...
her 2nd birthday is right around the corner {I know... I can't believe it, either}.
It is time to continue on our Navy adventure.
We have been sitting on pins & needles waiting for Brad's orders to post & they finally did last week.
We got ahold of all of our brothers, sisters, & parents to give them the big news, so we can finally share with the rest of our friends and family.

So, are you just dying to find out where the Navy is going to take us this spring??

Of course it wouldn't be official until I tried to get Norah to pose for a picture or two.
I have a great deal of admiration for toddler photographers.  Norah won't do ANYTHING I ask of her.  I'm lucky she stayed in the chair long enough for me to get this picture:

So, ummmm... Any ideas??

Let's see...

* We're staying in the continental U.S.A. (maybe we'll get Europe next time). ;)
* We're moving to the 28th state in the nation
*The state bird is a Mockingbird
*The state flower is the Bluebonnet
*It falls 2nd in a few categories... 2nd largest state, 2nd most populated {but, don't tell the natives that... they like to be the biggest in the nation}
*They do, however, rank #1 in the most Tornados, Bats, & Republicans... {YAY!!} ;)
*Brad's sister lives there {which will be fun & so convenient when it comes to holidays & family gatherings.  Norah can FINALLY meet her Aunt, Uncle, and cousins}

Any ideas, yet??

Here's a picture of their state flag:

Well, if you haven't guessed it yet, this family is moving to......

And, honestly, we are SOOOOO excited!!!
My #1 wish was to send us even further south & that is what we're doing!

After a big snow storm yesterday I am very excited to get further away from the snow & cold.  I'm not even sure Norah will miss this weather.

See you in a few short months, Texas!
The organizing and sorting of our belongings has already begun.
We have A LOT of work to do & a lot of people to see before then!
Our big move will be here before we know it.
