79

On Saturday we celebrated my Mom Mom's 79th birthday at Shady Maple {an Amish smorgasbord in Amish country PA}.  My Mom Mom doesn't look a day over 29!  Seriously though, she's gorgeous!  I hope that's a family trait that follows down the line!  :)  It was wonderful to see my family & have a little extra time to celebrate this oh-so-special day with them all!  Norah spent the time playing with Baby Kaley, eating spoons ,& snuggling up with everyone!  She doesn't get to see family enough!
When we returned to the hotel room she couldn't get enough of the mirrored closet doors.  She talked & danced with her reflection.  She's such a hoot!  She got some Omah snuggles in & then went to bed in preparation for her big day!

Under the Sea

On Friday we drove into DC to pick up one of our favorite visitors!
Craig came into town for Norah's baptism & after picking him up from the airport we decided to check out the National Aquarium - DC style.  It is nothing compared to the National Aquarium in Baltimore, but Norah really enjoyed herself & it kept us inside from the rain & sleet we were getting all day.

10 months

*Sigh*

It's inevitable... she's going to grow, & Grow, & Grow!

I love my little pumpkin.  I cry frequently when I sit up at night with Norah soothing her back to sleep.  She has gotten so, so big!  It amazes me every day how much babies grow in just 10 short months!  I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that she will be a year old in only two months!  I don't take a single moment for granted.  I wish every second, good & bad, would take the slow, scenic route through life.  Her personality continues to grow every day, too!  She just gets happier {as if that was even possible}.  She has a cold right now... she's still all smiles!  I love her smiles!  Norah loves to be heard {she gets that from me}.  She's a snuggle bug {she gets that from her daddy}.  She's very independent {Brad says she gets that from me, too}.  She is so happy to have her own time with her toys, often times ignoring us when we're playing on the floor with her.  She enjoys playing in her crib after waking up from her naps & LOVES her tubby time even more-so now that she's out of her baby tub.  She loves to "sing" in church, mostly during the most quiet moments.  The acoustics really carry her voice for all to hear.  We have moved to the baby room for most of the service & yet everyone can still hear her behind closed doors.  It's impossible to get upset over something so cute!  We adore our little girl who isn't quite as little anymore.

around the room

I don't pick my camera up enough these days, but when I do, I can't seem to put it down.  I take hundreds of pictures of our little lady roaming around our living room.  She's pulling herself up onto everything... trying to eat whatever she can get her hands on... and smiling big 99% of the time.  She's such a happy baby & her smile is contagious!  She keeps us laughing and so, so happy to have her as our daughter.  I'm happy I picked up my camera yesterday because she's starting to come down with a little cold today, but that's not keeping the smiles away.
