pos-hudon

Last month, we celebrated the announcement of Jeff & Amanda's wedding at their Jack & Jill.  I can't believe how quickly the summer has gone by... because here we were, at the end of July, celebrating their nuptials.

Fore warning... there are LOTS of pictures!!!

She's such a peach!!

Brad's duty was to escort the mother of the bride!

Their Justice of the Peace was wonderful!  For the rehearsal, she wrote each of them some mock vows (of which nobody was expecting).  That night, Jeff vowed to shovel out Amanda's car in the winter, take care of Logan, so Amanda could enjoy her evening & Amanda vowed to shine Jeff's work boots & badge to ensure they will have a lasting marriage.  It got a laugh out of everyone!

We all stayed at the Inn after the festivities & had a grand ol' time!  I can easily say, it was one of the most beautiful weddings we have been to!  The weather was perfect, the party was perfect & everyone looked amazing!  Thank you, Jeff & Amanda for a great time!

sleeping under the stars

Slowly, but surely, I'm getting somewhere on blog updates.  However, the fun hasn't stopped, so I'm not sure I'll ever get caught up.  Here is the rest of our visit with the Muthersbaugh's.

After meeting in Albany to tour the USS Slater, we all ventured back to Woodford to go camping.  One of the nicest things about deciding to camp 2 miles from the house was the lack of stress that came along with traveling & it was nice to be able to drop Damon off at the house if we had to go somewhere that wasn't pet friendly.

All of the lean-tos are named after trees & this year we stayed in Oak!  It was perfect!  We had great neighbors & it was nice and quiet!  A perfect place to relax for four days!

We spent a few days at the lake & the kids (& Brad) LOVED it!
Even Damon enjoyed spending time outside in the sun!

The kids couldn't remove themselves from technology, completely.  When it came time for bed, they snuggled up & watched some Sponge Bob on mommy's phone!

You can't go camping without yummy s'mores!!!
I loved how Bryn eats hers the same way I used to at her age...
not a dark spot on the marshmallow!

Bryn had a blast playing fetch with Damon!

A family self portrait was a must!
Those kids are so darn cute!

During my senior year of college, my parents, along with Jason, Pam, & Dylan (pre-Bryn years) came to visit.  We camped at Woodford State Park in the lean-to (next to the one we stayed in this weekend).  We reminisced about that weekend, 6 years ago, & the memories of our last camping trip with Mom.  It was a bitter-sweet weekend for all of us.

I think the lean-to picture is going to become a staple for camping trips.

We had a great time & I wish we could do it more often!
Come back & visit soon!
